About this property

In the centre of bustling Keswick in Cumbria sits this beautiful end-terrace apartment, The Eyrie. Set over three floors and sleeping up to eight guests, The Eyrie offers spectacular views of the mountain ranges surrounding Keswick, making an ideal base for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts. You can make yourself at home straight away by leaving your coats and shoes at the entrance, before heading up the Victorian feature staircase to the living areas. Continuing up the stairs, you will find the first-floor living room, with stunning bay windows overlooking the high street; get settled on the sofa, watch the Smart TV and warm up with the woodburning stove. Across the way lies the dining room, with a large, rustic wooden table and benches to share a meal with your loved ones, along with a kitchen of contemporary style, containing everything you need to feed the whole family. All four bedrooms at The Eyrie are perfect for unwinding after a busy day; with one king-size bedroom and three super-king-size, there is room for everybody in this spectacular property. The first three bedrooms have en-suites, whilst the fourth sits on the third floor, just across from another sleek bathroom with a large walk-in shower and a double basin, offering a more private floor and dual aspect views over Keswick rooftops. For extra warmth throughout The Eyrie, heated towel racks rails and under floor heating have been added to each bathroom, providing a lovely toasty space after a day of walking. Stepping outside of The Eyrie, you’ll be in the midst of the popular Keswick town with all amenities such as shops, pubs and restaurants less than half a mile away, whilst also on the doorstep of some fantastic countryside walks. For a day out exploring further afield, head north to Bassenthwaite, where you’ll find Bassenthwaite Lake Nature Reserve for refreshing walks and views of outstanding landscapes, followed by a pub lunch and a wander around the quaint village. A little further to the east lies Ullswater, a lovely lake surrounded by mountains, where you can hire a boat, enjoy a lake cruise or take a guided walk. With great cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops, Cockermouth is a popular market town near to Keswick with plenty of history to discover, such as Cockermouth Castle, Jennings Brewery or catch a performance at the Kirkgate Centre. The Eyrie is a great location to explore the Lake District, whilst offering a beautiful setting for a large family gathering.

Even better than the pictures. The space really worked well for all the family with every room having gorgeous big comfy beds and luxurious bathrooms. It’s easily the most high speck property we’ve stayed in the Lakes. The location is also a real treat, just at the end of the main high street and edge of the park. The owner Andrew is really hands on. We could tell he really cared about us having a great holiday and went out of his way to recommend things to do. He also lent us a back pack for our dog. Thank you Andrew for all your help, it was greatly appreciated. You will not be disappointed if you book this property and we will be returning next year.

A fantastic house impressively furnished. Minor points... The bathroom door was unable to open from the inside (top floor). 10.00 am checkout felt a bit early.

It was perfect for us and our three adult children and their partners with plenty of space for everyone to relax. The views were spectacular and overall we all thought it was an awesome place to stay. Thank you, we will be back.
