Guests say

Guests have had delightful experiences at Thirty Blencathra Street, praising its well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and excellent location in Keswick. The property's cleanliness and thoughtful touches, such as a welcome hamper, have been appreciated, although minor maintenance issues were noted. The views and proximity to local attractions add to the charm of this beautifully renovated cottage.

The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests commenting on the clean condition upon arrival. However, there are mentions of minor issues such as mold in bathroom sealant and dusty skirting boards, which slightly detract from the overall cleanliness score.

The location is highly praised for its convenience, with easy access to Keswick town, local shops, restaurants, and scenic walks. The ability to park on the street and the proximity to various attractions contribute to a high location score.

Guests find the property extremely comfortable, with special mentions of quality bedding and mattresses, ample bathrooms, and cosy living spaces. Some guests noted the need for better pillows and mattress covers, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

The facilities are generally well-received, with a well-stocked kitchen and plenty of games and books. However, there are reports of minor maintenance issues such as a leaking radiator, a faulty lamp, and a non-draining shower, which slightly lower the facilities score.

The thoughtfulness of the owner is evident in the welcome basket and the well-prepared home. Guests feel well taken care of, though it is politely noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

It was incredibly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and clean, comfortable beds. However, several areas needed attention. For example, the staircase spindles, skirting boards, and en suite bathroom were quite dusty. Additionally, the radiator and area around the toilet needed cleaning, and the cabinet in the bathroom was rusty inside, making it unusable. The wardrobe in the adjoining room had a musty odour, making it unsuitable for hanging clothes. Lastly, the front garden needed tidying up,

The view and sunsets from the picture lounge window are stunning. We were a group of eight adults and there was plenty room to dine and socialise together. Communication from the owner was excellent too and we were made to feel so welcome. There are some beautiful personal touches including information upon the history of the house in a really helpful information file. In terms of location, it is perfect for a very short walk into Keswick. We were always able to find a parking spot close by too. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

The property was lovely but does need some decorating as looks a bit tired especially in the bathrooms as there is a lot of mold in the sealant especially around the shower trays
