Snaptrip says

Prospect Lodge is a quaint and cosy cottage in Keswick, appreciated for its charm, cleanliness, and stunning views. Guests enjoy its proximity to local walks and Keswick town. The unique character and homely feel are frequently mentioned, making it a gem for those seeking a traditional Lake District experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean, with ample supplies like toilet rolls and washing up liquid. However, a few noted issues with cleanliness in the kitchenware and an infestation problem, slightly affecting the overall perception.

The location is highly praised for its convenience, with easy access to Keswick and local walks. The beautiful setting and proximity to the lakes are significant positives, although parking difficulties were occasionally mentioned.

Guests found the beds comfortable and the cottage warm and inviting. However, some guests reported the beds as too firm, and the steep stairs and low ceilings in the bathroom affected the comfort level for taller individuals.

The cottage is well-equipped with essentials and the kitchen is adequate. Criticisms include the lack of a proper shower, issues with taps, and the absence of Wi-Fi and a working log burner. The property's maintenance and modernisation are areas for improvement.

While guests appreciated the provision of essentials and the property's cleanliness, there were no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

The only thing I would suggest is a shower the shower curtain is a. hand held one over the bath. This would save a wet slippy floor.

Last year the cottage was not as clean as this year so an improvement, but the decor and furniture are a little tired looking. Unfortunately in the bedroom, the matresses are really hard and uncomfortable, so need to be renewed. Also it would be really useful if the owners installed WiFi, most places we stay at have WiFi.
