New Lodge is consistently praised for its stunning location, beautiful views, and luxurious comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped property, spaciousness, and cleanliness. The private jetty and garden are highlights, contributing to the property's charm. While some minor maintenance issues and a lack of wardrobes are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The property is frequently described as spotlessly clean, with several reviews highlighting the cleanliness as a positive aspect. There is a single mention of dust on a cooker hood, but this appears to be an isolated comment within the context of otherwise glowing feedback.
The location is universally acclaimed, with guests enchanted by the stunning views, private jetty, and proximity to Lake Ullswater. The idyllic setting and opportunity to explore the Lake District contribute to the high praise for the property's location.
Comfort is a strong point for New Lodge, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the property spacious. However, the lack of wardrobes in some bedrooms and the need for additional hooks in bathrooms suggest room for improvement in this category.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being well-equipped and offering a welcome hamper. However, there are mentions of maintenance issues such as water leaks, heating problems, and exterior wear, which slightly detract from the overall high standard.
While guests mention a quality welcome hamper, there is inconsistency in its provision, and as such, it cannot be guaranteed. Due to the lack of consistent references to thoughtful gestures or gifts, a score cannot be accurately provided.
New Lodge was originally the gate house for Leeming House, dating back to the early 1900s and situated in a stunning location with outstanding views over Lake Ullswater.
