This is a traditional Lakeland cottage, simply furnished creating a cosy, comfortable home for four. It is in an excellent quiet location - approached by a little lane and only a very short walk from the village. This pretty semi-detached cottage offers a secluded base with easy access into the village either down the lane or across the fields.
The porch offers plenty of space for boots and coats and muddy dogs! The cosy sitting room with beamed ceiling, is furnished with a sofa and chairs and the woodburning stove set in a lovely fireplace with slate lintel, is a welcome focus point for the room . There is a large flatscreen TV with Sky Freeview and DVD. Off the sitting room, to the rear of the cottage is the kitchen, again with beamed ceiling. This stylish fitted kitchen includes a built in electric oven and hob and large fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a dining table and chairs at the other end of the room.
Upstairs there are two pretty bedrooms - a spacious double bedroom with built in wardrobe and a elegant brass kingsize bed and is a smaller twin bedroom. The newly refurbished bathroom has a shower cubicle, bath , wash basin and WC. The property is heated by night storage heaters.
To the side of the property is a large south facing patio. The owners have provided quality table and chairs so guests can enjoy alfresco dining, soaking up the tranquility of this lovely location.
Keen Ground Cottage offers a fantastic combination of location, charm making it a popular hideaway.

Have stayed in this cottage before. Excellent location, very quiet and peaceful yet only easy 10 minute walk from village. Would recommend. Comfortable and clean with wood burner a nice homely addition. Parking for two cars also a plus point.

We had a great week in this lovely cottage. The location being so close to the village meant that the cottage still kept a feeling of being remote, quiet and peaceful and yet within a couple of minutes we could be in Hawkshead for the shops, cafes and pubs.
