Dove Cottage is a beautiful detached, Lakeland cottage with beams and many original features. The owners have created a welcoming, comfortable hideaway combining modern day comforts with old world charm. Formerly 2 cottages, they have been combined to create 1 cottage with 2 staircases each leading up to 2 bedrooms at either end of the property.

Set in the little hamlet of Far Sawrey and having a beautiful, sunny private garden this is a cottage we know our guests will fall in love with.

The door leads into the dining room with woodburning stove and beams. The large dining table is perfect for family meals and there and access to the kitchen and breakfast room. The kitchen is compact and well designed to allow for an Everhot Aga type cooker, bulit in fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave (washing machine/ dryer and freezer in utility room). There is a light and airy breakfast room with windows on 3 sides overlooking the garden.

Off the dining room there is a downstairs bathroom with a bath with hand held shower, basin and wc . Upstairs at this end of the cottage there is a pretty double and a twin bedroom.

Downstairs there is a comfortable living room with the original range with open fire and a bread oven, plenty of seating and a large flatscreenTV with Sky Freeview and DVD player

Stairs lead up to another double bedroom, single room and bathroom with shower, basin and wc.

The cottage is heated throughout by night storage heaters.

Outside there is a beautiful, very private, south facing garden with patio area - great for al fresco dining and a lawn for the children to play and a summer house (young children will need to be supervised as there is a steep sided stream which runs along the bottom of the garden). There is off road parking up to 4 cars by the cottage.
