A comfortable and cosy terraced stone cottage, superbly located in the South Lakeland village of Lindale on the edge of the Lake District. Well appointed to provide welcoming accommodation, this Lindale cottage is ideal for families or friends who wish to enjoy time together exploring the beautiful Lake District. The open plan living accommodation in this Lindale cottage has been divided using ships' timbers and has an original stone flag floor with a woodburning stove and leather sofas, a perfect place to relax after a long day. Outside this Lindale cottage is a small front patio whilst the village has a shop and two excellent pubs. There is plenty to do in the area, with excellent walks from the doorstep or around Lake Windermere, numerous golf courses, and the elegant town of Grange-over-Sands, with plenty of excellent tea rooms, specialist food shops and a promenade. Within 30 minutes' drive of this Lindale cottage is the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, the Haverthwaite and Lakeside Steam Railway, and the Aquarium of the Lakes. From Lakeside you can embark on the Windermere Steamer and enjoy the spectacular scenery whilst cruising up Lake Windermere to the bustling towns of Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside. This Lindale cottage is a perfect base at any time of the year.
Situated in the southern Lake District and just a few short miles from the coastal estuary and the seaside town of Grange-over-Sands is the small village of Lindale. With a true 'Lakeland feel', due to its narrow streets, traditional dwellings and quaint old pubs, this charming village is positioned on the slopes of Hampsfield Fell. The coastal resorts of Arnside and Grange are worth a visit, whilst the pretty town of Cartmel - with its famous annual horse race meetings - offers plenty to see. Lake Windermere and the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead are only a short drive away and still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many visitors. The fabulous countryside which surrounds Lindale also provides exceptional walking and cycling opportunities.

Everything we needed was provided, plenty cups, plates etc. The beds were comfortable but we found the sofas quite uncomfortable if we sat on them for a while. Very handy to park right outside the cottage. The shower was very powerful and hot. The only negative thing was the cobwebs behind the microwave so we cleaned this ourselves. We would be happy to return.

Very nice and quiet place, loved the fire, only problem we had was that the fridge was under the stairs so it was hard trying not to hit your head every time you went to the fridge
