Guests say

Spindle Coppice is a well-received cottage boasting stunning views, a peaceful location, and a well-equipped, comfortable setting. Guests have enjoyed the local walks, the proximity to attractions, and the overall tranquillity of the property. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness points were raised, the feedback is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests planning to return.

Most guests found the cottage clean upon arrival, with only a few mentioning areas that needed attention, such as kitchen shelves, a living room carpet, and under a rug. The overall impression is of a well-maintained property.

The location is consistently praised for its breathtaking views, quietness, and access to local walks and attractions. It is described as superb and idyllic, contributing significantly to the positive experiences of the guests.

The cottage is described as comfortable, spacious, and cosy, with various areas to relax. The presence of a large screen TV and well-furnished rooms adds to the comfort. However, the mention of a damp smell in one room slightly impacts the score.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and lovely bathrooms. Some guests noted issues with showers, lighting, and a need for more dishwasher tablets. The feedback suggests room for improvement in maintenance.

While guests appreciated the overall experience, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, this score cannot be provided.

The cottage is spacious, clean, warm and well equipped with lovely bathrooms and plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the wonderful views. We enjoyed some fantastic walks straight from the door - along the Cumbria Way and over Park Fell to Tarn Hows. We also had a great walk up the Langdale Pikes. I would definitely recommend this cottage!

On a very quiet farm lane, this cottage is in a true get-away-from-it-all location, while being just a few minutes drive to shops and restaurants. Nicely furnished. Very comfortable. Plenty of room but with a nice cosy feel. The back garden is very steep, but very pretty, and it's a small price to pay for being in such beautiful countryside, and the front patio is plenty big enough with little lawn areas to keep your dog happy. With such a quiet track in front of the cottage, it did feel like the fields and mountains were our private front garden. We will be back to Spindle Coppice.
