Ugley is a small village and civil parish in the non-metropolitan district of Uttlesford in Essex, England. It is about two miles north from Stansted Mountfitchet, and situated between Saffron Walden and Bishop's Stortford. Bishop’s Stortford is argued to be the first stretch of ‘proper’ countryside outside of North London. The village has seen a number of new developments built over the last 30 years, one of the most popular is Thorley Park. Bishop’s Park and Bishop’s Gate are also highly regarded, St Michael's Church is worth a visit, set above the old ford on the river at Windhill. The garden is great, and the hot tub works well once you get the hang of it! Looking forward to our next stay!

Louise was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is in a lovely village and everyone is very friendly. Two nice pubs practically on the doorstep and some lovely walks near the area. I would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Really cosy to return to after a day of adventures and ideally situated. The cottage itself has everything you would need including a washing machine which was handy. We also have a very energetic dog who lived exploring the garden which is completely enclosed. A lovely stay and we will.look to return.
