The property offers a great base from which to explore the vibrant village of Coniston, the majesty of Coniston Water as well as the wider Lake District. A tranquil setting with a gorgeous garden, awe-inspiring views of the surrounding fells and Coniston Water itself. There are great walks straight from the doorstep including the close by shores of Coniston Water and a host of local inns and local eateries, including the famous Drunken Duck Inn. This area is popular amongst cyclists and mountain bikers due to its access to Grizedale Forest, just a few hundred yards from the cottage.

Attractive old oak beams and flagged floors blend seamlessly with lavish furnishings and the welcoming wood burner, as well as an open fire, create a great ambiance for social gatherings or special occasions. Suitable for two couples or a family, The Farmhouse offers plenty of space including two chic bedrooms that also enjoy the stunning scenery, plus there’s a luxury bathroom, perfect for a long soak after a day in the hills.

There are three resplendent reception rooms, one of which is a games room and also a delightful garden with raised decking, perfect for warm lazy days and al-fresco living. Choose from a multitude of walks straight from the doorstep including the shores of Coniston Water and plenty of local inns and eateries surround this cottage - all close to hand.

The pretty Gloucestershire village of Coaley lies in beautiful countryside, close to the Cotswold towns of Stroud, Dursley and Nailsworth. Boasting an 18th century village pub and community shop, the village offers many wonderful walking opportunities, including the Cotswold Way. It is overlooked by the Frocester Hill Nature Reserve, a National Trust wood and Coaley Peak, a twelve acre wild flower meadow and picnic site. Offering far-reaching views over the Severn Vale and Forest of Dean it is also the sight of the excavated Neolithic burial site, Nympsfield Long Barrow. The market town of Dursley lies under Stinchcombe Hill and offers visitors many attractions including a beautiful pillared Georgian Market House and the popular Farmers Market. Dursley boasts many pubs, individual shops, restaurants, an indoor swimming pool and a golf course. A visit to the Fairtrade town of Nailsworth is a must with its unique shops, art galleries and an annual spring music and craft festival. The vibrant town of Michinhampton offers its own array of antique shops, traditional pubs, restaurants and cafes, perfect for an afternoon stroll. Michinhampton and Rodborough Commons, ideal for walkers and cyclists is managed by the National Trust and covers over 500 acres of land. The commons are home to three golf courses and the historic Winstones Cotswold Ice Cream factory. The ancient town of Tetbury, with its royal connections is considered one of the most beautiful towns in the country is also an easy drive away. Coaley really does make a perfect base for a holiday exploring the delights of the Cotswolds.
