Snaptrip says

Egg Pudding Stone is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and dog-friendly features. Guests appreciate the beautiful grounds, cosy atmosphere, and the secure garden for pets. The location is ideal for exploring the Lakes, with some noting the convenience of nearby attractions. Thoughtful touches, such as treats for dogs, add to the welcoming experience, although these are not guaranteed for every stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-presented. Guests have generally been satisfied with the level of cleanliness, although there was a minor mention of finding debris under furniture.

The location is frequently praised for its quietness, privacy, and proximity to local attractions and the Lake District. However, some guests noted the lack of direct walks from the house, slightly impacting the score.

Comfort is highlighted with mentions of cosy settings and comfortable beds. Some guests, however, reported issues with low sofas and the need for a grab rail in the shower, suggesting room for improvement.

Facilities are generally good, especially for dogs, with a secure garden and woodland area. Criticisms include the lack of an attached enclosed area, the need for a larger TV, and the absence of a washing machine, indicating some maintenance and upgrade needs.

Guests have mentioned appreciative gestures like dog treats and additional comforts, which indicate thoughtfulness. However, as these extras are not guaranteed for all stays, the score reflects this uncertainty.

It was just perfect. The cutest cottage with a fantastic living room, dining room and kitchen space. At no point did we feel like it was missing anything. It’s in a great location for getting to lots of places in the lakes. The garden is stunning! And fully enclosed which was perfect for Finn the greyhound who absolutely loved his first holiday. We had a great week staying at Egg Pudding Stone and wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we were going back to the area. Thank you!

! Beautiful setting and the garden is amazing super dog friendly. Everything is so well kept and maintained. New sofas and TV are lovely. The bed was so comfy and its huge!! Set in a great location close to village pubs, cafes and shop. Great base for Lake windermere and many other attractions. Our only thing missing would be a washing machine but it's no biggie. We loved it and would definitely go back. Thanks :)
