The picturesque Oak Retreat has everything you could want or need for a break away from everyday life. Designed with function and comfort in mind, Oak Retreat is a perfect back-to-nature haven.

Start the day right with produce from your complimentary breakfast welcome hamper which includes six Lakes organic free range eggs, butter, home-made raspberry jam, Lovingly Artisan locally baked sourdough bread, Eva’s Organic Cumbrian apple juice, milk, Dorset cereals granola and locally roasted and blended Farrers cafetiere coffee.

Reconnect with a simpler life in front of the wood burning stove, share a game of cards or relax and read a book in the comfortable seating area. The kitchenette is well-equipped with pots, pans, utensils and crockery along with an electric oven, gas hob and fridge - everything you need to rustle up a well-deserved feast after a day spent discovering the Eden Valley and Lake District.

At night, the cosy wood-floored seating area transforms into a bedroom, offering a comfortable and spacious double bed where you can sink into the feather bedding and enjoy a blissful night's sleep. Enjoy complete privacy in the en-suite shower room that provides all the space you need to freshen up after a day exploring. A hairdryer is provided in the closet.

Stepping outside, you will be greeted by far reaching views over the beautiful Lake District National Park. Dining al-fresco has never been easier, with Oak Retreat offering a barbecue and firepit with locally sourced logs, and comfortable garden furniture for two. You can while away the evening whilst soaking in the views that envelop Oak Retreat. Five EV chargers are available on-site shared between the nine properties at Blencowe (including the five Blencowe Retreats Shepherd's huts). Payment is made via QR code, and full details will be provided prior to arrival.

Just over a mile from Greystoke Village, which can be reached by footpath from the hamlet of Blencowe and set in the Eden Valley in Cumbria, considered one of the most beautiful and rural areas in England, Blencowe is situated on the edge of the Lake District, about four miles from the Lake District National Park.
