Enjoy a well-deserved Lake District getaway with your family or group of friends at this beautiful location close to the shores of Lake Windermere. This apartment comfortably sleeps six guests in three bedrooms and is the ideal base to soak up the sights and explore the countryside.

Situated in the Georgian Crosthwaite House, this apartment is spacious, bright and airy. When you return from a busy day, get cosy in front of the lounge’s warming wood burner and enjoy playing a game together. Admire the spectacular valley views from the windows while sipping your morning coffee in the window seat. Cook up a hearty meal in the well-equipped kitchen/diner and, when you are ready for bed, choose one of the three en-suite bedrooms. To the rear is a pretty garden. Soak up the sun on the hammock while reading a good book, or dine alfresco at the patio area.

Head off on foot and meander the Lyth Valley. There are some lovely walks around this hidden gem situated on the edge of the Lake District. Visit Lake Windermere (6 miles) and hire a boat, stand up paddleboard or canoe. Learn more about the famous writer at The World of Beatrix Potter (6.5 miles) or visit historic attractions such as Wray Castle (14.5 miles) and Abbot Hall (5 miles). The market town of Kendal is also 5 miles away and has a wide range of shops, restaurants, cafes and a couple of museums. Take a look at what’s on when you visit the area, as there are frequent festivals, events and art exhibitions.
