Rose Cottage in Kendal is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-equipped facilities, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate the convenient location for exploring the Lake District, though some note the local village is a bit run down. The cottage's thoughtful touches, such as provided cleaning supplies and a warm welcome with milk and sweets, are well-received, although such gifts are not guaranteed. The picturesque view and the proximity to the river add to the charm of this well-maintained holiday rental.
Reviewers consistently mention the spotless condition of the cottage, indicating a very high standard of cleanliness.
The location is generally praised for its proximity to Kendal, Windermere, and the Lake District, though one review mentions the local village is somewhat run down, slightly affecting the score.
Guests find the furniture comfortable and the cottage cosy, with only minor suggestions for improvement, such as a curtain over the front door.
The cottage is described as well-equipped with a kitchen, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. However, there is a lack of information on waste disposal and a comment on mixed fabric bedding, which slightly lowers the score.
The provision of cleaning supplies and a welcoming touch with milk and sweets are appreciated, but as these gifts are not guaranteed, the score reflects this.
