Philip and Hillary were excellent hosts, provided wonderful information on good pubs, restaurants, walks etc., as well as detailed instructions for using the facilities at the Bolt Hole. Would definitely recommend and will come back again. On top of that, we only had one days rain!

The Bolthole is amazing, we had everything we could have hoped for. The town of Kendal is very close and a very interesting town with lots of shops, all the lakes were just a bus ride away, perfect! The steep hill much talked about wasnât a problem as 2 buses go up there regularly which was a relief to my husband! A lovely holiday and a perfect find!

The property was well equipped, and the owner was friendly and helpful. Only issue for me was the steepness of the hill into town which is worth making clear to potential customers.
