Snaptrip says

Guests generally appreciate the cottage's prime location with stunning views and peaceful surroundings, ideal for exploring the Lake District. The property is praised for its comfort, including a cosy bed and well-appointed kitchen. While some guests mention cleanliness issues and maintenance needs, the overall experience is positive, with many planning return visits.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Cleanliness scores vary, with several guests finding the property spotless, while others report issues with dog hair, dirty floors, and a smell of wet dogs. Some also mention that kitchenware and appliances could be cleaner. The mixed feedback suggests room for improvement in this area.

The location is highly praised for its stunning scenery, proximity to the lake, and accessibility to local attractions and walks. The convenience of the nearby ferry is frequently mentioned, although parking difficulties due to faded road markings are noted.

Comfort is well-regarded, with guests mentioning a cosy bed, peaceful environment, and a warm welcome. Some discomfort is noted due to issues with heating, window opening, and a hard-to-press toilet flush, but these are relatively minor compared to the overall comfort enjoyed.

Facilities are generally appreciated, especially the well-equipped kitchen and the welcome hamper. However, guests have pointed out maintenance issues such as broken appliances and the need for updating kitchenware. The mixed feedback suggests that while the facilities are good, there is a need for attention to maintenance.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in the welcome hamper provided, which is frequently mentioned and appreciated by guests. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be a consistent offering for all stays.

Sofa on the small side. Dust/balls of fluff under the sofa and in the corner of the bedroom. Some items missing on the inventory. Other than that the location was perfect and everything else was great. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Although the kettle could do with replacing as I was unable to use it due to metal fragments breaking off from the base of the inside of the kettle. Excellent locations, was able to launch my paddleboard from the slipway used by the ferry. Ferry is on your doorstep so it’s very handy for popping into Windermere. A little noisy due to building work and drilling outside but all within reasonable hours. Will definitely be coming back.
