This charming first floor apartment, which is suitable for two people, features tall windows throughout, giving you lovely lake views as well as providing a peaceful setting for you to enjoy your stay. Take a short stroll to the lake shore at Borrans park or to near by Waterhead where you can enjoy a lake cruise or hire a boat. A fifteen minute walk will take you into bustling Ambleside. It is the perfect place for you to explore the many attractions the Lake District National Park has to of-fer.
This Lakeland stone apartment was formerly ‘gentleman’s residence’. Enjoy sitting out with a relax-ing drink on the garden furniture in this calming oasis and spend time looking out for deer, and other wildlife which is attracted by the 5 acres of wooded grounds in which High Borrans sits. If you are looking for a romantic retreat, then this apartment is the one for you.
Private parking for one car is available close to the property. Take the outside steps up to you front door and entrance hall. Hang up your coat and store your boots then walk into the sitting/dining room and admire the views towards lake Windermere to the south and Loughrigg Fell to the west. Snuggle up in front of the stone fireplace with its coal effect heater. Perfect after a busy day explor-ing. Create delicious dishes in the modern fitted kitchen and enjoying eating together in the wel-coming dining area. Then relax in front of the TV or enjoy your favourite music. Wake up in your attractive, double bedroom to stunning views through its high windows.
Enjoy this stylish property which is decorated and tastefully furnished throughout and compliment-ed with lovely soft furnishings. Fitted carpets add to the warm ambience.
Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
