Guests have praised the Lowe-McConnell for its stunning views, cleanliness, and prime location next to Lake Windermere. The property is appreciated for its contemporary style and well-equipped facilities. While some guests have noted issues with maintenance and comfort, the welcoming touches like a basket of local goodies have been well received. The significant price increase has been a point of contention for some repeat visitors.
The majority of guests have reported the property to be very clean, with only a few isolated incidents suggesting the need for a deeper clean or attention to specific areas. The overall impression is that the property is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
The location is consistently lauded for its beauty and convenience, being right on Lake Windermere and next to the ferry. It's considered ideal for walking, biking, and enjoying the lake, contributing to a high score in this category.
While many guests find the property comfortable, especially praising the bed, there are comments about the sofa not being as comfortable as desired. The comfort level is generally high, but the feedback on seating prevents a perfect score.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the property being well-equipped. However, there have been mentions of maintenance issues such as problems with hot water, a loose tap, and a need for more cutlery and crockery. These issues have slightly lowered the score.
Guests have expressed appreciation for the thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack with local goodies. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Linda
Ideally placed for walking and getting the Ferry. The bedroom was quiet and comfortable, loved to see the stars from our bed. The only thing to fault it was the kitchen being a little small as we like to cook but everything was there that we needed, just rather lacking in work top space.
Cherie
Almost perfect. Only feedback is a foot rest for the sofa as it's quite small, so somewhere to put feet up in the evening would be perfect. Also pillows very flat, otherwise very comfortable bed.
Nicki
The balcony was great, overlooking the lake, and with the hot weather was an added bonus. However, on arrival, we spent about an hour cleaning various parts of the property such as the kitchen sink, cutlery, glasses, cutlery trays, cobwebs, banister and wardrobe runners which had hairs sitting in them. Overall. Great property, really enjoyed our stay and would stay again but it does need a thorough deep clean.
