Pennington is a well-received cottage in Cumbria, praised for its cleanliness, prime location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the modern facilities, the thoughtful welcome hamper, and the stunning views. While there are minor issues with maintenance and heating, the overall experience is highly regarded, making it a recommended stay for visitors to the Lake District.

Cleanliness

The cottage is consistently described as spotlessly clean and tidy, with many guests expressing satisfaction with the level of cleanliness. However, a few mentions of mould in the shower and a dirty rug slightly affect the score.

Location

The location is highly praised for its peaceful setting, proximity to the ferry, and beautiful views of the lake. It is considered an ideal base for exploring the Lake District, contributing to a high score.

Comfort

Guests find the property comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed and cosy atmosphere. Some concerns about the heat in the bedroom and the quality of the mattress slightly lower the score.

Facilities

The facilities are generally well-regarded, with modern amenities and a well-equipped kitchen. However, issues with hot water reliability, heating control, and the need for more crockery and cutlery are noted, impacting the score.

Thoughtfulness

The welcome hamper is frequently mentioned and appreciated, indicating a high level of thoughtfulness. It is important to note that such gifts, while delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.
