Snaptrip says

The Bay Cottage in Ambleside is highly praised for its superb location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and thoughtful touches like a welcome pack. While parking is limited and some guests mentioned road noise, the property's proximity to the lake and town centre, along with its modern furnishings, make it a desirable holiday rental.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found The Bay Cottage to be immaculately clean and well-presented. However, one review mentioned stains, hair, and spiders, which slightly lowers the overall cleanliness score.

The location is consistently praised for being close to the lake and Ambleside town centre, making it an ideal base for exploring the Lake District. The only drawback mentioned is some road noise.

Guests find the beds very comfortable and the living spaces cosy. The addition of fans to combat warm weather was appreciated. Some guests noted road noise affecting sleep in the front bedroom, which slightly impacts the comfort score.

The property is well-equipped with en-suite rooms, games, and a well-furnished kitchen. Maintenance issues like ants and loose fixtures were reported, indicating room for improvement in this area.

Several reviews mention a welcome pack, which indicates thoughtfulness by the owners. However, as not all reviews reference this, and to ensure expectations are managed, it's noted that such gestures are appreciated but not guaranteed.

The location was also excellent. Just one small negative: the ensuite bathroom in the king size bedroom and the downstairs cloakroom were both very tight. We really enjoyed our stay.

I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness (especially after having to clean a previous cottage myself when it was so dirty on arrival)! The beds were comfy and there’s clearly been a lot of thought and love go into it - very homely and modern in a great location. There were just a couple of things that may need a slight attention (nothing major and no complaints, just to make you aware really). The upstairs back bedroom toilet seat is very loose and moves each time you sit on it and there are a few of the wardrobe/chest of drawer handles that have come off and need a longer screw to fix back on. Feel free to publish the first part of the feedback.
