About this property

This magnificent first floor apartment is situated close to Lake Windermere and The Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole. The Gallery, converted from an old coach house, is perfect for a couple in search of a luxurious hideaway in the heart of the Lakes. Set at the end of a private country lane, with stunning views, this studio exudes a sense of calm and tranquillity yet is only a short drive from the vibrant villages of Ambleside and Windermere.

No expense has been spared in furnishing this fabulous apartment. Comfortable leather seating is arranged to make the most of the wonderful views; when evening falls, this is the perfect spot for snuggling down in front of an enormous TV. The kitchen is perfectly positioned and superbly equipped with everything needed to create a romantic dinner for two.

The king size bed is surrounded by stylish maple storage units and pretty dressing area, while the bathroom is a dream. With its relaxing whirlpool bath and shower, where better to enjoy a glass of fizz?

The property is one of a few select dwellings and comes with private parking for one car. Outside there is a pretty patio area with bistro style furniture, ideal for enjoying morning coffee or an aperitif. Guests are free to wander the shared garden, making the most of the views to the fells and mountains beyond.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
