There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Really comfortable, clean and well laid out. Everything we needed. Had a really lovely stay and would certainly book again if heading up to the Lake district again. Thank you very much for having us.

The location is perfect and in a beautiful setting. As a family with cats it was extra special to be greeted by two very friendly cats, who even followed us into the woods for a walk. Our two year thought it was magical. The cottage is beautifully presented and interiors are homely and stylish. We will be sure to plan another trip and have recommended to all friends and family what a special place this is.

The location is great, a walk or short drive to so many beautiful walks. The only thing to improve would be the addition of some basic kitchen ingredients such as milk/salt/pepper/oil for simple cooking.
