Snaptrip says

Guests consistently praise the property for its cleanliness, comfort, and quiet location, ideal for exploring the Lake District. The use of additional facilities like a pool adds to the appeal, although some minor maintenance issues and lack of Wi-Fi are noted. Complimentary touches are appreciated, though not guaranteed.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being 'very clean', 'immaculately clean', and 'beautifully clean and fresh' upon arrival.

The location is highly regarded for its quietness and proximity to Penrith, the Lake District, and transport links, making it an ideal base for exploration.

Comfort is frequently highlighted, with guests finding the property cosy and the beds comfortable. However, one review mentioned a safety concern with the staircase handrail, slightly impacting the score.

Facilities like the pool and gym are appreciated, but restricted times and the absence of Wi-Fi are drawbacks. Some guests also suggested additional kitchenware and garden furniture.

Guests mention thoughtful touches such as a welcome basket and complimentary tea and coffee. However, as these gifts are not consistently referenced, it's polite to note they are a delightful bonus when provided, but not guaranteed.

Great access to the north lakes area. The charity staff are friendly and helpful. Please be aware there is no wifi and mobile phone signal is not great, this didnt bother me.

There is everything you need for a comfortable week-long stay. The staff on reception are friendly and helpful. Beds are super-comfy and there is ample storage for clothes etc. It's perfectly located for day trips to all areas of The Lakes and the bus outside the village pub will have you in Pooley Bridge in ten minutes! The grounds are lovely with a river and resident heron! I'll definitely stay again. I'd say throw in a couple of comfy garden chairs if you'd like an hour sitting in the garden (which is a suntrap!).
