This delightful barn conversion set in the peaceful rural hamlet of Mosedale provides cosy accommodation for up to four people. Inside you'll find a well-equipped kitchen/diner and a cosy living room with electric fire. The two bedrooms, one a double with a handy shower cubicle, and the other a cosy bunk room, and the family bathroom can be found upstairs on the first floor. The cottage has access to a shared garden and there is a shared parking area too.
The fell walking on offer around Mosedale is hard to beat and there are plenty of routes you can enjoy from the door, including Carrock Fell and mighty Blencathra. The area has plenty of interesting folk tales too, from the immortal fish that Wordsworth believed lived in Bowscale Tarn to the spectral army that were once claimed to have been seen marching along Souther Fell. The neighbouring village of Mungrisdale has a popular pub, perfect for enjoying a refreshing drink after a day out on the fells - and comparing notes on interesting sightings!
Spend a day exploring the bustling market town of Keswick. Indulge in some retail therapy, take in a show at the renowned Theatre by the Lake or sign up for an activity with one of the local adventure companies. Try raft building, canoeing or ghyll scrambling whilst the brave can take on the Via Ferrata at Honister Slate Mine. Why not head to beautiful Ullswater, less than a 25-minute drive away? It's the perfect location for enjoying a day at, in or on the water! Enjoy a peaceful lakeside stroll, wild swim or take a cruise round the lake on one of the popular steamers.
This property forms part of a characterful barn conversion and is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. Head inside and you're sure to feel right at home.
The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and even a dishwasher so there'll be no need to fight over who does the washing up! In the kitchen is also a foldout dining table, which makes great use of the space and is equally suited to enjoying a homecooked meal or for spreading out maps and guidebooks whilst you plan tomorrow's adventures.
The living room really is the heart of this home from home, with its electric fire set in a fantastic feature fireplace. The sofa and two armchairs in here are positioned around the fireplace, making it a lovely room for cosy evenings in. There's also a Sky TV with DVD player for entertainment.
Up the stairs to the first floor and the two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and a useful wardrobe with drawers for storage. This room also benefits from having a handy shower cubicle and washbasin. The second bedroom is a cosy bunk room and has fitted wardrobes.
Also on the first floor is the family bathroom. In here you'll find a WC, washbasin and a bath - perfect for soothing muscles tired from walking.
Outside the cottage is a shared garden area. With benches and picnic tables (shared with the other cottages), it's a lovely spot for a morning coffee or evening aperitif. There is also a parking area that's shared with the other cottages.
