The owner made everything really comfortable and was so helpful and welcoming. The barn was done to a beautiful standard and everything was so tasteful but with character. The hot tub was a pleasure from where you looked out at fantastic views. A peaceful location away from it all.

Your cottage is second to none. So peaceful but close to the local pub if needed for beautiful food and refreshments. Hot tub is tranquil, just sitting watching the views and red squirrel in the tree. The super king bed is a luxury and the large walk in shower is amazing. The cottage is spotlessly clean and modern with everything you need and more with local walks from the doorstep. Very dog friendly with secure dog fields all around and even a doggy barn with dog shower and towels for after your muddy walks. Also in the barn is washing machine and dryer if needed. Ruth the host is a lovely friendly, helpful lady whom is a phone all away if needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to this beautiful place which is central for your visits around the lakes. Thankyou so much, we will be back x

A superb base from which to explore the Lake District. Extremely comfortable and in a rural location which was as peaceful as it is beautiful. The attention to detail which Ruth has lavished on this sanctuary is second to none and to be envied by many a top end hotel.
