Askham 2.8 miles. Settled on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park in Sockbridge near Askham, Cumbria is this fabulous seven-bedroom abode, Yewtree House. Benefitting from an enclosed decking area with its very own hot tub, an enviable location close to the local amenities and the River Eamont, and en-suite bedrooms, Yewtree House welcomes sixteen guests, perfect for a large family or group of friends seeking to get away from it all. Askham is a village and civil parish resting in the Eden district of Cumbria, England. Seen as one of the most attractive villages in the County of Westmorland and adjoining the River Lowther, this village contains many whitewashed cottages surrounded by rural country fields, making it a peaceful setting for friends, families or couples seeking an escape to the beautiful Lake District National Park. The village itself has a convenience store, as well as a couple of pubs and restaurants for that fine dining experience. A short drive away is the historic and thriving towns of Ambleside, Bowness-on-Windermere and Keswick, all of which are popular tourist attractions with a range of sites to be seen.
