Reviews consistently mention the property being immaculate and spotlessly clean, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that contributes positively to the guests' experiences.

The property's location is highly praised for its beautiful setting by the river and proximity to local amenities and attractions. However, some guests note the busy road nearby, which slightly impacts the score.

About this property

The small village of Newby Bridge takes its name from the five arched stone bridge built in 1651 over the River Leven. The famous Furness Railway, one of Britain's oldest working standard gauge steam railways, runs between Haverthwaite and Newby Bridge. Visit the Lakeside Hotels and enjoy magnificent views across Windermere and the surrounding fells, or enjoy the Aquarium of the Lakes, where the naturally themed habitats, bring the history of the Lakes vividly to life. Bowness-on-Windermere provides a lovely day out, plus the picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character that so endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, and admire the views at nearby Gummer's How.

Decor between old and new perfectly done to provide the ultimate comfort for guests. Everything my family needed for our break and more was in this house. I would definitely recommend. I would even go as far as to say this breath taking house made our stay in the lakes extra special.

Ideal for anyone who has paddle boards or kayaks as your straight onto the water from the end of the garden. Storage was great so you didn't have to put the boards up and down daily. The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Beds were really comfortable with beautiful bedding. Kitchen was really modern with everything you could possibly need. We were a family of mixed age from young to old and the property catered for everyone's needs. Our teenage boys enjoyed the games room. We are looking forward to returning next year!
