Guests have enjoyed the peaceful and remote setting of Bank Barn at Rusland, appreciating its beautiful garden, stunning views, and proximity to nature, including friendly emus. The property offers a comfortable and homely atmosphere, ideal for both families and their pets. The large garden and stream are particularly popular among children and dogs.
The property generally receives praise for its cleanliness, especially the kitchen surfaces and bathrooms. However, some guests noted dust and cobwebs in places, and dog waste in the garden, slightly affecting the overall impression.
The location is highly regarded for its tranquillity and natural surroundings, with easy access to walks and wildlife. The remote aspect is appreciated for a true escape, although it does mean a drive is required for phone signal and amenities.
The property is described as comfortable and homely, with a particularly cosy second living space. Some guests found the TV room furniture tired and the lighting inadequate for reading in some areas, but overall the comfort level is high.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and enjoyable outdoor spaces. However, comments about a cluttered kitchen, a freezer needing defrosting, and some difficulty with key access suggest room for improvement in maintenance.
