Guests have praised Myra's View for its cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and peaceful location. The cottage's charm and homely touches, including welcome gifts, contribute to a delightful stay. Some guests noted the lack of Wi-Fi and the need for TLC outside, but overall, the property offers a cosy retreat in the Lake District.
Reviews consistently mention the property being immaculately clean, suggesting a high standard of cleanliness that guests appreciate.
The location is described as peaceful and secluded, yet conveniently close to main roads and local amenities. The narrow lane access and proximity to hedges are minor concerns for some with larger vehicles.
The majority of guests find the beds super comfy and the cottage cosy and welcoming. There is a single mention of a hard bed and less comfortable sofas, but overall, comfort levels are rated highly.
Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-equipped kitchen and modern amenities. However, some guests struggled with the storage heaters and the milk frother, indicating room for improvement in maintenance and user-friendliness.
While guests have expressed gratitude for the welcome gifts, there is no consistent reference to the reliability of receiving such gifts, and as such, it cannot be guaranteed. The thoughtfulness of the hosts is apparent, but the score is set to null due to the lack of information on consistent gift provision.

Everything was clean and tidy and exactly as described. Some very homely and welcoming touches. Thank you so much!

What a lovely place, away from it all but only 5 min8from the main road and about 10 minutes from Cartmel. The property is quirky . We love it. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. A great coffee machine, it made excellent coffee but we couldn't work out how to get the attached milk frother to work. There is also plenty of tea towels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and salt and pepper provided. Lots of towels in the bedrooms too. The beds are very comfy. The storage heaters taking a bit of getting used to, but soon sorted. Also thank you for the welcome gift package too. A simple walk if you don't want to drive is to cross the main road (A590) signposted Staveley and turn left, there are two easy safe walks to Newby Bridge. We highly recommend this lovely cottage. Thank you Tony & Chrissie

I told my husband about the cottage and so he stayed there this week on his mini retreat. It is still lovely and has all the amenities that you could possibly need...BUT no WiFi. This was not a problem as there was a good phone signal if needed. The outside could do with a bit of tlc as the shrubbery and pots were no longer looked after. That was the only negative though. Also the welcome gifts were very generous and much appreciated. This is such a gem and the next visit will be my turn for that mini retreat! Highly recommend this cottage if peace and solitude is what you are looking for.'
