Guests say

Guests are generally pleased with 43 Pony Meadow, praising its comfort, modern decor, and prime location in Windermere. The lodge is well-equipped, offering a cosy stay with comfortable beds and a homely feel. Some guests noted issues with Wi-Fi and minor cleanliness oversights, but these did not detract significantly from the overall positive experience.

The lodge is often described as clean and well-maintained, though some guests mentioned finding dust, crumbs, and other items under the sofa and cushions. The cleanliness of the kitchen and the handling of bedding upon arrival were also noted as areas for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to Windermere and the White Cross Bay Holiday Park. Guests appreciate the easy access to local attractions and the park's amenities, although some suggested the addition of sensor lights for better visibility at night.

Comfort is consistently highlighted, with guests finding the lodge cosy and the beds extremely comfortable. The living space is well-received for its homely atmosphere, although some guests experienced issues with water pressure and the lack of a hairdryer.

Facilities are generally good, with the lodge being well-equipped for a pleasant stay. However, guests frequently reported problems with the Wi-Fi provided by the park, and some mentioned that the lodge's own router would be beneficial. Maintenance issues like a non-opening window and a vacuum cleaner in need of replacement were also mentioned.

While guests have not specifically mentioned gifts, they have suggested that the addition of a welcome book with local information and an accommodation guide would be thoughtful touches. The provision of games for children was appreciated, indicating consideration for guest needs.

This affected the smart tv in the lounge although the tvs in the bedrooms were fine. Overall highly recommend if you’ve not got 2 teenagers with you.

Used as a base to explore the area. A welcome pack on what is around, emergency contact details would be useful. However there was a drawer of leaflets which we found by chance. The sharp knives had been put away wet and had rust marks on but were fine once scrubbed. It was nice to have a few dishwasher tabs and washing up liquid supplied. Just a few more wooden spoons for cooking would be useful. Very quiet place too. Thank you.
