Snaptrip says

Sandown is a well-regarded holiday cottage in Windermere, praised for its cleanliness, prime location, and ample living space. Guests appreciate the en suite bathrooms, though some find them compact. The property's proximity to local amenities and the inclusion of parking are frequently highlighted. The owner's communication and responsiveness are commended, and while some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests willing to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as immaculate and well-presented. The attention to cleanliness is especially appreciated in current times. One isolated mention of a stained shower tray due to hair dye is noted, but it is not indicative of the general cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its convenience, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and the lake. The availability of parking is a significant plus. Its central position makes it an ideal base for exploring Windermere and the surrounding Lake District.

The property is described as comfortable, with ample living space and well-equipped rooms. The beds are comfortable, and the cool ground floor bedrooms are appreciated during warmer weather. Some guests find the en suite bathrooms small, but this does not significantly detract from the overall comfort.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and the bonus of all en suite rooms. Some guests suggest updates to the kitchen appliances and mention minor maintenance issues like a vacuum cleaner not working optimally. However, these are minor compared to the overall positive feedback.

The owner's thoughtfulness is evident through excellent communication, a quick return of the housekeeping bond, and a welcome hamper mentioned by a guest. While such gifts are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Easy to reach other places by car, but so many places on the door step too! Minutes from the lake, seconds from pubs, shops etc. Perfect for chilled evenings in too!
