Snaptrip says

Brunton Lodge in Bowness-On-Windermere is highly praised for its cleanliness, superb location, and comprehensive facilities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, the thoughtful provision of games and toys for children, and the comfortable family atmosphere. While some guests mention issues with heating and maintenance, these are generally seen as minor compared to the overall excellent experience. The property's garden and conservatory are also frequently commended.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently report that Brunton Lodge is very clean, with several reviews highlighting the spotlessness of the property. This indicates a high standard of cleanliness maintained at the property.

The location is described as excellent, with the property being in close proximity to the town and lake, offering privacy yet convenient access to local amenities. The quiet and private setting is also appreciated.

The majority of guests find the property comfortable, noting it as homely and cosy. However, a few reviews mention issues with heating in certain rooms and the main bathroom, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

Facilities are generally regarded as superb, with a well-equipped kitchen and plenty of activities provided. Some minor issues are noted, such as the absence of a corkscrew and the need for maintenance on items like the bunk bed mattress and underfloor heating.

While guests mention thoughtful touches like games for children and a Christmas tree during the festive season, there is not enough consistent information about gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that while such thoughtful gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

We love it and have already booked for next year.

We don’t want to keep shopping ( 6 of us) so need to store food and of course drinks. We are in our 70 s so bending into fridge difficult. Patio set in need of attention and some patio slabs were loose. But it didn’t stop us enjoying the house for the third time. Will come again!

Great location, close enough to walk into Bowness or to the lake within a few minutes. We loved sitting in the conservatory watching the birds in the garden. It was so warm and cosy and well looked after. We will definitely be back!
