Fiendsdale Lodge in Windermere is highly praised for its beautiful, well-equipped, and clean accommodation in a quiet, central location with easy access to local attractions. Guests enjoyed the homely feel, outdoor area, and the site's amenities, including a bar and entertainment. Some minor issues with maintenance and cleanliness in the kitchen were noted, but overall, the lodge offers a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The lodge generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness. However, there are a few mentions of the need for a deeper clean in the kitchen area, including the fridge and oven. The living spaces and bedrooms appear to be well-maintained.
The location is consistently praised for its proximity to Lake Windermere and central position for exploring The Lake District. The site's easy access to local towns and amenities, along with the availability of public transport, is appreciated by guests.
Guests find the lodge comfortable, especially highlighting the living room and outdoor areas. Some concerns are raised about the size of the twin bedrooms and the adequacy of one shower for six people, but overall, the lodge is considered cosy and snug.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped lodge and on-site amenities like a bar and shop. However, there were issues with WiFi connectivity and a broken bathroom door handle that was not fixed during the stay, affecting the score.

Arrived at 4pm but lodge had not been cleaned however after a phone call an emergency cleaner came out promptly. We as a family thought the two twin bedrooms were extremely small and one in particular you could only get between the beds sideways. The wardrobe in the third bedroom was full of ironing board hoover etc so could not put clothes in. We also thought one shower between what could have been 6 people is not enough. We would also choose a non dog friendly lodge next time as the smell of dog is evident. Having said this the living space of the lodge is lovely and having nice weather we used the veranda a lot with patio doors open all of the time! We also used the pass for Choices health club which was fabulous! We love White Cross Bay as a base to explore with easy access to various places and activities.
