Kessock is a well-received holiday cottage in Windermere, praised for its stunning views, private jetty, and luxurious amenities. Guests have enjoyed the property's beautiful location, comfortable furnishings, and the added bonus of a cinema room. While some minor issues were raised regarding maintenance and provisions, the overall experience has been positive, with many guests recommending the property and expressing a desire to return.
The property generally received positive remarks on cleanliness, but some guests noted areas for improvement, including floors not being spotless, cobwebs, and an ant infestation on the terrace. Despite these comments, the property was often described as well-maintained.
The location is highly praised for its breathtaking views and proximity to Lake Windermere. Guests appreciated the serene setting and the convenience of water access. However, some noted the entrance from the main road could be dangerous, suggesting the need for better visibility when exiting.
Guests found the property to be comfortable and spacious, with luxurious bathrooms and comfortable beds. However, some feedback suggested the need for better sound insulation and softer furnishings to enhance the comfort level.
The property boasts well-equipped kitchens and high-quality facilities, including a private jetty and cinema room. However, guests reported issues with heating, power outages, and some appliances not working, which impacted the score. The presence of a games room and the quality of the table football were also points of contention.
While some guests mentioned receiving welcome gifts such as fudge, wine, and coffee, there is insufficient information to determine if such gestures are consistent or to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host. Therefore, a score cannot be provided, and guests should note that gifts are not guaranteed.

The property had everything you needed for a relaxing stay. We spent the week here with our family and had a great time.

It was warm and comfortable with amazing views and a beautifully landscaped garden with our own private jetty. The shower pressure was 'amazing' and the beds were very comfortable. The only exception is that it would have been nice to have a bbq to use. Some clients have made reference about the TV in the living area being poorly positioned with reference to shining light from outside, but TBH there is the added benefit of the cinema room so we would not mark it down for that. Would definitely go back, so for us that is the best measure of a great place to stay. Thank you
