both Sykes holiday cottages and Lakelovers called me multiple times , emailed me and left me voicemails about a mistake that was completely on their end. I felt very stressed and overwhelmed by the whole thing , I tried calling back and there was no answer but the calls and voicemails kept coming , we even actually went Into the Lakelovers building too resolve the problem and was told that everything was fine and Thankyou for coming in , then not even 20 minutes later the calls started again , then a very rude employee from Sykes cottages answered the phone and was implying that their mistake may result in us paying out of the good housekeeping bond which was extremely unprofessional as the mistake was on their end , not only was that said but the man we spoke too was extremely rude and was implying we had made this mistake on purpose. As you can tell this really affected my stay , we was both extremely stressed about the situation and could not settle into our holiday at all , the situation eventually got sorted and no apology was given too either myself or my partner. This then led me too feel as though both Lakelovers and Sykes cottages are very very unapproachable. We had several issues with the actual apartment aswell which I didnât feel comfortable speaking too Sykes or Lakelovers about because of the way I was treated prior too this. There was no way of having a bath at all , the water heater stayed hot for about 5 minutes and by that time the bath has run cold , the shower was the same , could only get about 4 minutes of hot water , there was loose furniture , the coffee table In paticular is very wobbly and unsafe , the doors too exist the block of apartments wouldnât open with the keys so we was stuck outside trying too open the door and ended up having too go though the car gates everytime (other people staying there also had too do this and couldnât open the doors too) and if you are a light sleeper definitely do not choose this apartment as everytime somebody opens the gates itâs an extremely loud noise from below !! The apartment was nicely decorated , it was just a shame that the staff were so rude and made us feel so unwelcome during our stay , over all very confusing and uncomfortable stay , would not recommend staying with Sykes cottages or Lakelovers too anyone.

It is very conveniently located for the town centre ( a couple of minutes' walk). Car parking at the apartment was very convenient and secure.
