Limefitt Park is in the beautiful Troutbeck valley, surrounded by glorious fells yet just four miles away from the buzz of Windermere village. Rowan is a traditional lodge in the Pinewood area of Limefitt Park. It enjoys a delightful, peaceful position backing onto woodland where wildlife abounds and you may spot a badger roaming by. Rowan offers a cosy and comfortable retreat – the perfect welcome after a long day hiking. Rowan benefits from its own dedicated unlimited broadband connection. With open plan living area, two bedrooms and one bathroom, it’s a lovely spot to base yourself for a break. Wherever you are on the Park, you’ll enjoy nature and woodlands, and the Trout Beck runs through the park, and has some picnic areas, near the children’s playground. There’s also a pub on site, which is dog-friendly, and a small shop, children’s playground and nearby you can enjoy pony-trekking with a third party provider. . Limefitt Park sits in the beautiful tranquil valley of Troutbeck and is just over three miles from Windermere village. From the Park, you can walk through the fields to the fabulous pub The Queens Head, and round the corner to the Mortal Man. If you like log fires, real ales and great food you’ll be happy! Carry up over the spectacular Kirkstone Pass, and there’s another ancient inn: The Kirkstone. Then drop down and you’ll see Brotherswater – around seven miles from the Park. Continue toward the beautiful Ullswater and the hamlet of Glenridding for more great pubs, shops, Ullswater Steamers and amazing walks. Here you can start the ascent of Helvellyn, or the Ullswater Way which now goes all the way round this beautiful lake. You'll make some amazing memories from your time at Rowan Lodge.
The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
