Guests say

This summary has been generated using feedback from guests who have stayed at this property

Guests have had a delightful experience at The Whins, praising its comfortable furnishings, beautiful garden, and scenic location. The cottage's charm and well-equipped amenities contributed to memorable stays, despite minor suggestions for improvements. The property's serene atmosphere and proximity to local attractions have made it a recommended choice for a peaceful and enjoyable holiday.

Cleanliness

The Whins is generally well-regarded for its cleanliness, with guests finding it well-appointed and clean. There were a few isolated comments about crumbs and coffee grounds, suggesting room for improvement, but these were minor and did not detract significantly from the overall positive impressions.

Location

The property's location is highly praised for its scenic and secluded setting, close to Bowness, Windermere, and Ambleside. Guests enjoyed the proximity to nature and local attractions. However, some noted the tricky road access, which slightly impacted the score.

Comfort

Overall, guests found The Whins to be warm, welcoming, and comfortable, with special mentions of the comfortable beds and furniture. A few guests suggested improvements such as handrails for safety and better water temperature control in the shower, but these did not overshadow the comfort experienced.

Facilities

The cottage is well-equipped and guests appreciated the quality of furnishings and kitchenware. Some guests suggested a more updated kitchen and noted issues with heating and log burners not being available for use. The feedback on facilities is positive but acknowledges the need for some maintenance and updates.
