Guests say

Beechwood Cottage in Norfolk offers a peaceful and spacious retreat with a secure play area and easy access to local attractions. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, warm welcome with cakes, and the ample space for family gatherings. The rural setting provides tranquility and wildlife encounters, though some noted minor maintenance issues and the need for more comfortable beds.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be immaculately clean and well-maintained, with only a few mentions of cobwebs and dust. The overall impression is of a clean and tidy property.

The location is praised for its peacefulness and proximity to Norfolk's attractions, though some guests noted it is quite rural with a need to drive to destinations. The secure and gated setting is also appreciated.

Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, with ample space and warm interiors. However, there were comments about the beds being less comfortable and a desire for larger towels, which slightly affected the comfort score.

Facilities are well-regarded, especially the play area for children and the spacious kitchen. Some maintenance issues were mentioned, such as problems with the shower head, dishwasher, and Wi-Fi, which suggests room for improvement.

While guests mentioned receiving a warm welcome with cakes and milk, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

We liked the location as it was mostly very quiet. Clean and well equipped as well.

The only downside was that us 'oldies' found the distance from the car park to the front door challenging when loading and unloading the car.

So glad though I took extra toilet paper, kitchen roll & sharp knives. (I do this whenever we go away!) The cleanliness was good, although, there were lots of cobwebs & the beams & radiators were very dusty! It is not a wheelchair friendly property, not that we needed that, but the website looked as though it might have been, fortunately I took some moveable rails for the shower which worked well for two of us. I would visit again out of fly season, ‘cos they difficult to control, we left the spray for the next people. Something one has to put up with unfortunately. The area has a lot of various things to offer, be it beach, history, walking, etc.
