About this property

A blissful break away from everyday life in the small, rural village of Oxborough. This tastefully presented holiday home is part of The Old Rectory Estate, neighbouring Oxburgh Hall with its medieval manor house and Victorian garden. Swaffham is 8 miles away offering plenty of places to eat and drink and independent shops to browse. For guests who love wildlife, Welney Wetland Centre is 16 miles away, or visit the Watatunga Wildlife Reserve (12 miles) and experience a Norfolk safari. The historic town of King’s Lynn is 17 miles away, where you can explore the town’s spectacular architecture and find numerous places to eat. If it’s a bit of culture and history you’re after, the much-loved country retreat of the royal family, Sandringham is 20 miles away. For a day at the beach, the nearest is Snettisham (27miles) and from there you can drive along the stunning North Norfolk coastline.

Offering cosy and light-filled accommodation for up to four adult guests, this stylish, single-storey retreat provides a welcoming atmosphere. The relaxing lounge has large, comfy sofas ideal for reclining after long days exploring. Warm your toes in front of the wood burner with a good book. The kitchen provides all the necessary mod-cons, so you can prepare home-cooked meals to be enjoyed at the breakfast bar. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and patio doors to let in the fresh air whilst you enjoy breakfast in bed. The second bedroom has a double bed and the family bathroom boasts a large walk-in shower.

Outside is a private lawned garden with garden furniture and gas barbeque to enjoy alfresco dining. There is very little light pollution here, ideal for star gazing from the private wood fired hot tub. If you’re feeling energetic, there’s a shared gym with weight training equipment, bike and free weights. Excellent accomodation very roomy and surrounded by silence as it is surrounded by fields and woodland, located on a farm track it is very rarely passed by any vehicles. The property is ideal for viewing wildlife with various birds located around the nearby lake it is also very nice for walks in the grounds and couldn't recommend any more for such a layed back, peaceful holiday.
