Many of the homes in Snettisham, a typical Norfolk village, are constructed from the local iron-rich carr stone, giving them an appealing golden-brown hue. Because of this common misconception, the structures have earned the nickname "gingerbread houses" in the area. In addition to its proximity to the lively coastal resort of Hunstanton and the ancient city of King's Lynn, the village also features convenience stores, a post office, two inns, a café, and a frequent bus service. St. Mary's Church, which stands alone atop the hill, is well worth visiting for its ornate west window, which features tracery flowers. Located just three miles away, the beach is also home to an rspb bird sanctuary, and the historic Peddars Way public footpath passes through the neighbourhood.     Could do with a outside light for winter visitors as only solar powered at the moment useless in winter but other than that great

    .within walking distance of two nice dog friendly pubs serving reasonable food and a very busy coffee shop. Small secure outside area for your dog so front door can be left open on hot days and also the upstairs kitchen balcony door opened for extra ventilation. Kitchen well stocked with equipment. Lots of beaches to explore and a bird enthusiasts dream with so many RSPB sanctuaries all along the coast. Would definitely recommend The Granary :)

    There was a lovely welcome back awaiting us on arrival which was very much appreciated. The Rose & Crown PH a few meters up the road was ideal. I think that the photo of the property is misleading in that all the space around the property is reserved for an adjacent property (not in the photo) and despite a reference to "off road parking", and the garden, neither were available to the The Granary.
