Instantly impressive, The Dairy at West Heath Barn is positioned right on the Peddars Way, the famous Roman Road that traverses the North Norfolk coast, and set in 4.5 acres of private grounds, complete with resident alpacas. The barn's location makes it an exceptional choice for walkers, cyclists, and those who prefer to explore by car. Set in panoramic countryside, the barn is a perfect retreat for a tranquil holiday retreat amongst nature, whilst also being close enough to benefit from the wonderful amenities at the heart of Great Massingham village.
The conversion of the original was curated of the highest quality and furnished to a very high standard. The well-equipped farmhouse kitchen provides all that guests need to cater at home, and with so much delicious local produce available nearby, rustling up a delicious feast will be a must. Enjoy the fruits of your labour as you gather together around the dining table to create lasting holiday memories over good food and conversation. The spacious yet cosy sitting room features comfortable seating under exposed beams, and with a wood burning stove adding extra heat and ambient light, there is no better spot for nestling into after a day spent in the big outdoors. Dual aspect bedroom one hosts a king-size bed, and is served by an en suite bathroom offering bath with shower over. Twin beds are hosted by bedroom two, which also has its own en suite shower room. Outside, there is a courtyard garden with patio and barbecue area for dining al fresco. A shared quad courtyard is also accessible from the barn. Ample parking is available on the gravel driveway. Dogs are very welcome at The Dairy, and guests have access to the fully enclosed exercise paddock.
Walk 25-minutes into Great Massingham to experience one of Norfolk’s prettiest villages, famous for the two large duck ponds at the centre, as well as the popular gastro pub, The Dabbling Duck. Walking from the barn is peaceful and traffic free. History lovers will enjoy time spent at HM The King's Sandringham Estate, Castle Rising and Houghton Hall which can all be reached in 15-minutes by car. Birdwatchers can reach the rspb reserve at Snettisham in under half an hour. The vast and sandy beach at Brancaster is within a half hour car journey, with other spectacular beaches and walks at Hunstanton, Holme-next-the-Sea, Thornham, Brancaster Staithe, and Burnham Overy Staithe easily reachable from the barn. Even the popular coastal locations of Blakeney, Sheringham and Cromer can be reached in under an hour by car.
The Dairy comfortably accommodates six guests. For a smaller party, the barn can be booked as a sleeps four option: The Dairy. Located just across the courtyard The Cart Lodge accommodates four or six guests. The properties can be booked together, making them a great option for couples, multiple families and multi-generational families to holiday together, while maintaining privacy and independence.

A delightful property in a very convenient area to explore. The Diary was exceptional, everything we needed and more (even a lovely welcome cake). Gill and David should be commended for their exceptional high standards making it a real home from home.

Perfect : Return visit to The Dairy at West Heath Barn and it remains as wonderful as it was first time around. Gill and Dave are superb hosts, providing us with such a warm welcome and flexibility that truly made our holiday feasible and extra special. The accommodation is exceptional, the attention to detail, cleanliness and facilities are the best we have ever experienced. We were there as a couple with our dog and we were all very well catered for! I don’t normally write reviews but this is well worthy of 5* plus rating and I’m sure, like us once booked, you’ll be hooked! Thank you so much Gill and Dave for sharing your piece of paradise!
