Guests say

Waxwings is a highly praised holiday cottage in Norfolk, consistently lauded for its superb location, cleanliness, and modern amenities. Guests are impressed by the well-appointed property, its beautiful garden, and the comfort it provides. The secure garden is a hit with dog owners, and the property's warmth and decor receive special mention. While a few minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests planning return visits.

Guests frequently commend the property for its cleanliness, noting it as 'spotlessly clean' and 'very well appointed.' The repeated positive remarks suggest a high standard of cleanliness, although a single mention of needing to wipe down the kitchen indicates a slight deduction from a perfect score.

The location is described as excellent, with proximity to beaches and local amenities. However, some guests mention the property is on a busy road without a pavement, making it less ideal for walking directly from the property, which slightly affects the score.

Comfort is a strong point for Waxwings, with guests finding the property warm, well-furnished, and comfortable. The presence of a wood burner and a garden room adds to the comfort level. A few reports of slippery floors for pets and temperamental hot water slightly impact the score.

Facilities are generally praised, including the kitchen, BBQ, and garden. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a non-working shower, a door that won't close, and problems with hot water and the dishwasher. These issues suggest room for improvement.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews. Therefore, while the property is well-regarded, there is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness in terms of gifts, and the score is set to null.

We've stayed at Waxwings several times before first in 2019. We love the location of the property and find it handy for all the places we like to visit. The furniture is a little tired and worn now and on this occasion a cleaning issue made things difficult. The garden was beautiful and in full bloom during our stay.

Lovely place, ideal location and a superb garden for the dogs. You may want to bring your own towels as the supplied towels were small. Overall, a lovely place to stay.
