Watermere Barn has been restored to retain original features, is a comfortable and attractive property situated in the village of Briston which is on the edge of Glaven Valley in North Norfolk. It is an ideal place from which to explore coastal towns like Sheringham and Cley, market towns like Holt and the villages of Heydon and Stody. There are national Cycle Routes near Briston as well as North Norfolk Steam Railway from Holt to Sheringham.

    The property is in a remote setting. Although the property would benefit from a refresh it is comfortable, spacious and well equipped. We found the general standard of cleanliness to be poor and it would benefit from a deep clean

    Please be aware this property is located down a single track lane with few passing points and some large potholes. You cannot easily walk to a local shop/pub, so be prepared to have to drive to get anywhere. Mobile phone signal is very weak, we had no signal at all, which made keeping in touch difficult when part of our party went out separately. However, the property was comfortable and well equipped, especially the kitchen. The beds were very comfy! As it is very secluded, it is extremely peaceful, and you rarely hear any traffic. Great if you want to escape from everything

    Lovely location but need to warn people of difficult single-track tracks for access. Cottage a little "tired" and not spotlessly clean in places but otherwise very lovely and we enjoyed our stay.
