This flint-faced cottage is the epitome of country elegance. The farmhouse-style kitchen/diner is a bright space boasting an Aga, a huge dining table and doors to the garden. After supper, relax in the lounge, where there’s a wood burner and a Smart TV, plus a table that’s perfect for a game of cards. Also on this level is a delightful single bedroom with an en-suite shower room and access to the garden. From the stairs in the lounge, you can reach two bedrooms – a super-king-size and a twin, plus a family bathroom. Meanwhile, from the kitchen/diner, a second set of stairs takes you to the remaining two bedrooms, both super-king, and a shower room. One of these bedrooms has a connecting door to the twin room. All the first-floor bedrooms have areas of low, sloping ceilings and enjoy spectacular views over the salt marshes. Step outside to the south-facing courtyard, stroll over to the lawn for a game of croquet or soccer, or take your dogs for a game of fetch in the fenced area.

The cottage is on the coastal path just 200 metres from the National Trust’s Morston Quay, where you can catch a ferry to Blakeney Point, home to England’s largest colony of grey seals. Discover scenic walks both along the coast and inland – Holt Country Park is just 7.5 miles – or visit the royal estate at Sandringham, 25.5 miles away.

  • Please note: the 2 bathrooms on the first floor are being upgraded ready for bookings from January 2025. There will be a new shower in one and a new bath in the other
