Nestled beside the gently bobbing boats in the boatyard, on the River Ant, Ardea is a fantastic boathouse resting within the riverside town of Stalham, Norfolk. The property offers on-site watersports facilities and its own dingy, and is ideal for a family or a group of friends. Be welcomed by off-road parking and make your way over to the riverside where this quaint boathouse awaits. Make yourself at home in the open-plan living space, where guests will be able to cook together using the selection of amenities provided, and dine either inside at the dining area or outside in the communal lawn where there are picnic benches, ideal for an alfresco affair. Grab a glass of your favourite beverage and settle down into the sitting area for a movie marathon before freshening up in the wet room and snuggling up in one of the two bedrooms, including a double and a bunk. The property benefits from lovely riverside views and also has the option of watersports facilities on site, including canoeing, paddleboats and dayboats, and guests can sit on the banks and fish or put their culinary skills to the test at the barbecue. Stalham town centre is within an easy distance and houses a great many amenities, and guests are also within reach the coast of Norfolk. There is something for everyone with a stay at Ardea. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 1135142, 1135145, 1135146 & 1135151, together sleeping 20 guests.
The market town of Stalham, with its high street with a good range of shops and eateries, is a typical North Norfolk town. There is a small market which comes to the town on Tuesdays and a farmers’ market on every other Saturday, as well as regular sales in the town hall. Stalham is one of the major starting points of Norfolk Broads boating holidays and a museum to give you an insight in to the Broadland environment is a must. Just a few miles inland from fantastic beaches, this is a perfect base for exploring the Norfolk Broads and coastline.

BUT we came for a fishing holiday, the fishing was ok but it was extremely weedy and we lost a lot of tackle in the lily pads and bottom weed.
