A delightful Grade II listed semi-detached cottage located in a tranquil conservation area of the popular market town of Barnard Castle. In an enviable location, a stone’s throw from the town's bustling high street, this beautiful cottage has been lovingly restored to a high standard and is full of charm and character throughout. It benefits from a quiet and peaceful setting, opening onto a picturesque churchyard. There are two bedrooms, both boasting beautiful original fireplaces, the main bedroom is particularly spacious and includes a king-size bed and there’s also a stylish family bathroom. Downstairs you will find an inviting and relaxing sitting room complete with a woodburning stove, perfect for nights in with family or friends in the chillier months. You will also find a well-equipped and spacious kitchen/diner, ideal for family meals or preparing a picnic for a day out exploring the wonderful Yorkshire Dales. Barnard Castle's high street is a real gem, offering fantastic independent shops, pubs and cafes, as well as a weekly market. A short walk from the cottage is the impressive Bowes Museum, with its colourful collection of European art. Church cottage is well situated only 2min walk from high street. Cottage comfortable and well equipped. Only one small niggle was the fact that there is nowhere nearby to put recycling, other than that we had a great time .
