The location is idyllic with open countryside all around and total peace and quiet. The beautiful historic town of Barnard Castle is a short drive away or you can walk along the pretty country lanes straight into the centre in around 40/45 minutes. It was a pleasure to meet the owner of the cottage, Trish, who couldnât have been more friendly and welcoming, as were all the other locals we met during our visit. The hot tub was great after a day exploring as was the log burner which added to the authentic ambience of the cottage. We honestly couldnât fault one single thing and best of all our little Cocker Spaniel had the time of her life! We will look forward to returning sometime soon and thanks again to Trish and her family for their hospitality and genuine care!

The owners were friendly with nothing seeming too much bother. The hot tub was a huge hit with our grandson who came to spend the night with us and the garden was fully enclosed which was great for our dog. We would definitely return.
