Guests say

Guests have found the apartment to be a comfortable and well-equipped base for exploring the area, with particular praise for its cleanliness, secure parking, and convenient location near Durham and local amenities. The kitchen is well-appointed, though an extra socket for the toaster was suggested. The property's proximity to a busy road was noted, but this did not detract significantly from the overall positive experience.

The apartment has been consistently described as clean and well-maintained, with one guest highlighting it as the cleanest holiday home they've ever had.

The location is appreciated for its easy access to Durham, local shops, and attractions, although one review mentioned a busy road nearby which may affect those sensitive to noise.

The apartment is generally found to be comfortable, with a great shower and comfy bed. However, one guest mentioned a preference for a softer mattress, and another noted the need for a shorter person to sleep on one side of the bed due to the eaves.

Facilities are well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen, though a few guests mentioned the lack of a cheese grater and the need for an extra socket. The absence of instruction books for appliances was also noted.

While the reviews are positive about the property and its amenities, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Everything stated in the advert was as found. Could not find any faults and would use the apartment again.

Your instructions for finding the property if travelling north on A167need to include information to ignore first Kimblesworth sign as it brings you in the wrong end of village and if you come up hill and take first left you are nowhere near the property. I appreciated owner meeting me at property and helping me unload car as there is not a lift either.

However, there is a busy road almost next to the apartment block, which was rather noisy at times. The property (no 3 not 8) had no chest of drawers in the double bedroom, although a cupboard built under the eaves had shelves which we were able to use. Because of the eaves a shorter person needs to sleep on the eave side of the double bed. We did enjoy our stay though as we were very close to the Sniperley P&R, which was free for concessions, making Durham city easy to visit for the cathedral and castle etc. We would also recommend Beamish and Seaham.
