Guests say

Guests consistently praise The Bungalow for its cleanliness, comfort, and the thoughtful touches provided by the hospitable owner. The property is described as well-equipped, cosy, and beautifully decorated, offering a peaceful rural retreat with a secure garden, ideal for pets. While the location is appreciated for its tranquillity and wildlife, access via the track can be challenging in adverse weather.

Reviewers frequently mention the property being spotlessly clean, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that contributes positively to their overall experience.

The location is praised for its quiet, rural setting and proximity to local attractions. However, some concerns about the access track, particularly when flooded, suggest that while the setting is idyllic, accessibility can be an issue.

Comfort is highlighted with mentions of a warm, cosy atmosphere, and well-appointed furnishings. One complaint about heating control slightly impacts the otherwise excellent feedback on comfort.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the property being described as well-equipped and having everything needed for a stay. The mention of heating issues indicates a slight concern with maintenance.

The owner's thoughtfulness is evident through mentions of extra touches and gifts such as fresh eggs. While these are appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

A very rural location on a working arable farm, but only a few miles from the village of Ponteland, where there are good shops, restaurants and pubs. The city of Newcastle is easily accessible too, but the real draw is the natural beauty of the Northumberland coast and the unspoiled countryside of the Tyne Valley, Kielder Forest and Water, and the Northumberland National Park, rich in history and castles. Del, the host, was very helpful and friendly, and for us it was a fantastic holiday experience.

It was so light and airy and comfortable. The garden was ideal for our Jack Russell. We had everything we needed for our stay there. Thanks Del & Andy. We have booked to come back in the autumn.
