Resting in a superb tranquil setting in Lesbury close to Alnmouth in Northumberland, Plumtree Cottage is a quaint cottage completed to a high standard and offers beautifully presented accommodation just perfect for a romantic break for two. The open-plan living space is a joy to spend time in with a stylish sitting area inviting guests to kick off their shoes, take a seat and relax. Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Our hosts Sue and Richard were very welcoming. It was a great location to explore Northumberland and we would certainly stay here again.

Flowers and wine on arrival from Sue and Richard and the whole stay was peaceful and relaxing Cottage fully equipped with all you need to enjoy your holiday. Nice to have wildlife in the fields to watch ..enjoyed so much we have rebooked for next year..thank you Sue And Richard
